Coordinate Reference System

A spatial reference system (SRS) or coordinate reference system (CRS) is a framework used to precisely measure locations on the surface of the Earth as coordinates.

  • EPSG standard for codes. See wikipedia.org and https://spatialreference.org/ for more information.
  • A special value of "UTM" can be used to allow Raster Analytics to conveniently select the correct EPSG code for the best UTM zone for an image.

Common codes:

  • "EPSG:4326" - typical Long/Lat
  • "EPSG:3857" - Google mercator projection
  • "UTM" - Best WGS 84 / UTM zone #N/S
